Don't worry about it being gross! Your blog is one of the few I faithfully read as it's so entertaining. Glad you all are doing well!

Amen Emily!

Moving to El Salvador makes one realise how "easy" & routine life was, in many ways, in Canada.(however that is all about to change in my opinion) Living in ES is certainly challenging, not for wimps to be sure. You hafta have a sense of adventure!

Life and the literally unstable environment in this country (terremotos, volcanes, huracanes, corrupción, guerra, etc.) teaches one humility. Toughness and resilience and adherence to traditions that you see in the Salvadoran people. Also a very strong strong faith in this mostly Catholic country. You need faith here - nobody knows when the next crisis will hit! A matter of survival.

Hi Emily, my husband and I are in Punta Mango. We’re Canadians from Vancouver Island looking for our forever home here in El Salvador. We saw your husbands interview with Mike from Bitcoin Beach and I wanted to reach out to ask for any recommendations you might have. We are heading to La Libertad tomorrow. Will likely stay in an air bnb for a few nights but we’re wanting to spend a month or two in the Atami area. Doesn’t have to be there specifically - the general area is fine. Not sure if you guys are in that area anymore, but if you know of a contact person that would be really appreciated. Thanks!
